Life has been crazy the last week or so. Dave's mom ended up moving back to California because she didn't think she could make enough money here. Dave misses her a lot :( It's weird having her gone after being here for almost four months but it is kind of nice to have a little bit of space during the day. Not that she was in your face or anything, but it's hard to relax when you know someone else is around in the house.

Finn is still teething...ack! It's kind of off and on now. He's super drooly and he cries a lot, especially at night. You can feel the teeth coming in now though and you can see the bumps on the sides of his gum where they're coming in.

Finn also spent his first night in his own bed last night. He did pretty good -- he only got up once, around 3. Mommy was freaked out though...I kept sneaking over to his door (we had to keep it closed so the kitties couldn't get in) and listening to make sure he was okay. I kept thinking I heard him crying even though we had the monitor next to us and it wasn't going off or anything. It makes me sad :( I liked him sleeping next to us in the bassinet or in the bed with us sometimes. Dave wants him to learn to sleep in his own bed though :( I missed him so much last night...even though he was just in the next room over lol.

Finn flipped over yesterday too -- from his tummy to his back. He was lifting his head up and got his head moved over just enough so that he flipped. He didn't do it on purpose put he looked kind of surprised for a minute lol :)

There's a new series on HBO called TrueBlood...I was really excited to see it b/c it was based on a book series that I liked. It was okay but I kept comparing it to the book (which is much better) and being disappointed. I guess I should learn that books to tv or movies don't usually turn out too well lol. They overemphasized a lot of stuff that was only briefly mentioned in the books...I'll probably still watch it though - dave liked it so I guess it's better if you haven't read the books and just watch it for itself.

His eyes are still so blue...it's weird b/c Dave and I were born with brown eyes but his were blue and haven't changed yet. That would be weird if he kept them -- I always figured he'd have brown eyes lol

I finally got the USB cord I needed to transfer pics from my camera to my computer :) Here are some pics of baby Finn...he's getting so big!!! :)

Finn is getting a tooth!!!

So...Finn was super-cranky last night and we couldn't figure out why - we fed him, diapered him, cuddled him to no avail :( Then we wake up this morning and Dave's mom spies a little bit of white on his bottom gum!!! WTF he's not supposed to get teeth yet is he?!?! That's just crazy! Cathie (dave's mom) said that Dave got his teeth super-early though so maybe it's just genetics? He better not bite me or it will make BF really hard lol
In other news...we have a kitchen table now instead of a card table!l yay :) It looks much nicer...a pretty light wood with white paint on the chairs and the bottom of the table. Dave got his CNA license so he can start working in TN...he already has a pretty much guaranteed job at the local hospital per diem so that's good. Finn has his appt for his 2-month shots on Friday the 22nd of this month :( I know he has to get them but I'm nervous about watching him get them :( I'm sure it'll be fine....we have to get them done at the Community Health Dept b/c we don't have insurance until Dave gets a job and works there for 3 months or so. I hope they're not mean about it or anything :(

Dave came here from Michigan early ! :) He got here last Sunday and we've spent the last few days unpacking everything...I've been sick too :( sore throat yuckiness. I even lost my voice for a couple of days :( I'm feeling better now though and thought I'd update. We've got everything pretty much unpacked. The apt. is nice b/c the kitchen and the living room are nice and big but the bedrooms are pretty small :( We're going to go to Knoxville, about an hour away, tomorrow and see what kind of interesting things are there. There's also a 3 or 4 state long garage sale going on this weekend, August 7-10; which looks pretty neat. There's a playhouse here that is doing Beauty & the Beast...I want to see it so much!!! I love that movie and I think it would be really awesome to see the play! I'm gonna maybe start pumping and seeing if Finn will take a bottle or two so Dave and I can go later this month maybe. I'm not sure if he'll like it though...he hasn't really had a bottle yet and he might not like it very much :( We shall see...

My little brother Zach started football at school yesterday...he was a little scared b/c up until now he's played flag football but this year it's actual football and he's not sure how he'll do...practice seemed to go okay though so I'm sure he'll be fine :D

We went to the annual church picnic at St. Alphonsus earlier last week. It had a circus theme :) The priest did a magic show-- he seemed really nice; even though the church was super-crowded at the picnic and I just wanted to get out of the crowd...I'm not very good with a whole bunch of people :(

I'm really missing Dave today ... It's been three weeks since I've seen him and he won't be here until next week -- a whole month :( It's really hard waiting but I know it was better for Finn's health that we moved out of that gross apartment early. We went to the only catholic church in town today; it's called St. Alphonsus and it was pretty nice. The priest seems nice but I didn't get to listen much b/c Finn was crying a lot and they don't have a cry room so I had to go outside into the hallway :( I tried some Blackberry wine last night from one of the local wineries and it was very yummy & very sweet :D Next weekend is the most humongous garage sale ever!! It spans across 3 or 4 different states and goes from August 7-10...it should be fun to see what they have! For today, I'm just hanging out at my parents again until Dave gets here with all of our stuff to unpack. He's going to be so surprised to see Finn -- he looks so much bigger and he's holding his head up pretty good too :) He's awake a lot more and even smiled at me once or twice :D

Finn is losing his hair!! It keeps falling out at night and I find it in the morning in his bassinett :( Mom said it was normal, though, even if it kind of freaked me out at first. Dad finally got here with all the stuff and mom & dad are officially moved into their apartment. O and NEVER WALK ACROSS BLACKTOP WHILE IT'S 90 DEGREES OUT -- lol I did and now the bottom of my feet are all blistered up :( Dave said he might come up next weekend instead of the weekend after - that would be really awesome !!! :D I hope he can make it. I tried a bison burger at Ruby Tuesdays down here -- it was actually pretty good; not that different from a regular hamburger.
Finn actually slept until 7 this morning -- the longest he's ever slept!! It was really nice but I though something was wrong b/c he didn't wake up for so long -- he was just sleepy I guess though lol

It's Saturday and I'm sitting here in my mom's apartment getting ready for my dad to come tomorrow with the big moving truck to unload everything in my parent's apartment. Dave is supposed to be here in a couple of weeks with all of our stuff so I'm hanging out with my parents until then. It's been 2 weeks so far since I've seen my honey and another 2 weeks before I'll see him - a whole month :( It seems like such a long time. I'm happy that we found where we want to live and got set up with an apartment and stuff but it's really hard having him gone for so long. It also sucks that I never got to say goodbye to anyone in Michigan when I left :( My parents and I were only supposed to come down and look at apartments but my mom and i ended up staying since we found an apartment so quickly. I didn't even tell my dad & stepmom that we had moved until a couple of days ago :( I'm just glad I have Finn here with me to keep me company :) He's growing really fast. He laughed while he was sleeping yesterday -- it was so cute <3 and he moved up from the newborn diapers to the number 1 diapers! They're really big on him still lol but the other ones are too small and he fills them waaay up.

I learned to play Sudoku while we've been here at the apartment - it looked so hard I never thought I'd figure it out but I did eventually and it's actually very addicting once you get the hang of it lol. There are also a couple wineries by us and I found a wine that I really like -- It's called Helena Blush and it's very yummy, even though I normally don't like wine too much :) And the views here are beautiful - I don't miss the big city at all - I love the all the trees and hills :) I miss everyone a lot though :(

Guess what? I'm back on Livejournal. It's been awhile since I've posted but I thought it would be good to start having a journal again. To introduce myself and try this whole thing out, my name is Sarah and I'm married to a man named David. One of my best friends is having a baby :D /cheer. I had to have an appendectomy yesterday morning- that was ucky :( but at least I won't ever have to do it again :D. I love to play dungeons and dragons and I'm currently working at a clerk-type job until I can get through school. Yeah, that's about it for now. :)
